We are excited to announce the Jetpack Account Protection feature is available for all WordPress VIP customers using Jetpack 14.5.

Jetpack Account Protection is designed to enhance your WordPress site’s security by simplifying the creation of strong passwords and preventing unauthorized access.

Why it’s important

Weak or compromised credentials are frequently exploited by attackers to gain unauthorized access. Jetpack Account Protection feature targets this issue by deploying proven password-protection technology into your site.

Strong password help

We perform additional security checks whenever a user sets or updates their password.  Ensuring that the password meets complexity requirements and does not appear in known data breaches. This promotes better security hygiene for your users and reduces the risk of unauthorized access.

Compromised password protection

On login, we automatically check your users’ password against a database of known breaches. If a compromised password is detected, an additional verification step is required. Attackers frequently use passwords leaked in public breaches to gain unauthorized access and this verification makes it harder for them to do so.
