Starting Tuesday, December 17, 2024, you will be able to edit your name and email address in the VIP Dashboard! Updating your user details allows us to reliably contact you to send important alerts and updates.
As of this change, all VIP Dashboard users must verify their email address. This includes SSO users. This is a one-time action; after the initial verification, you may update your name or email at any time in the Settings page of the VIP Dashboard.
Existing users
Existing users can update their name or email address in the Settings page of the VIP Dashboard. Email addresses will only be updated after you verify your email. Check your inbox for an email from us with a verification link to complete the email verification process.
A non-dismissible banner will be displayed globally across the VIP Dashboard until email verification is complete. All users will need to verify their email address initially, even if your email remains the same. This is a one-time action.
You can access the Settings page at any time to update your name and email address again in the future.
New users
New users will be asked to confirm or update their name and email address as part of the onboarding flow when they log in to the VIP Dashboard for the first time:
- Sign in with WordPress.com, GitHub, or SSO.
- Set up MFA on VIP Authentication (WordPress.com and GitHub users only).
- Confirm or update your name.
- Confirm or update your email address.
- Check your inbox for an email from us
- Click on the verification link in the email and you’re done! You should now be able to access the VIP Dashboard.
The email verification process needs to be completed whether you update your email or keep it the same. You will not be able to access the VIP Dashboard until you verify your email address.
